break?
So ovwe winter break there are 2 things going on...the Opera, Albert Herring and Nathan the Wise paints.

The opera is being TDed by my advisors and the scenery looks wonderful. It is also being built by them. Here are som peeks at 2 of the elements...and no, the photos don't do them justice.

And Nathan the Wise. This is interesting because there are quite a bit of discrepncies between the drawings we built from and the elevations the painters have. So I have spent quite a bit of time running to school to meet with our over-higher paint charge and just spending time on the phone with her. But it is working out so yeah.

This is one of the bigger drops that we have...I think it might actually be the biggest. I should see if I can get a digital copy of rendering to show the process.
And for all those who like strike pictures...sorry for the delay I forgot I never put them up...
Urinetown STRIKE: 7 of us met 4 hours before call and took care of the majority of the set.

How large are the two opera pieces sohwn? I think im looking at it from the balcony and can see a sawhorse behind the second piece. But the first?

Yeah they are from the balcony...the clock stands about 8' tall maybe...I have not seen it standing and not that great at guessing without re-looking. The entranceway is probably about 7-1/2' tall...I will put better pics up tonight. I am working on the opera in about 10 minutes...
